The Birthright School's "The New Star" concert was watched by more than 300 people at SM Center Muntinlupa. All Birthright 80 children with disabilities performed. This was to showcase the musical talent of the children and encourage their participation in a public event. This concert also acted as a recital for Music therapy students. Teeners with down syndrome played the lyre, students with disabilites danced and sand their parts and the inclusive choir for voice development also sang their pieces. It was a very successful even that parents loved because they saw their childfen developed confidence on the stage and perform their pieces.

2023 FOURTH QUARTER REPORT

Mrs. Cecilia Monroid and Mrs. Erleen Dela Cruz, both main teachers in Birthright conducted a Disability Sensitivity lecture and how to teach students with disabilities in an inclusive classroom with 38 teachers in Sucat Elementary School. They shared their knowledge on how to handle students with special needs and discussed problems of students from different gender backgrounds . They also discussed how to apply Reasonalble Accomodation and Modification of curriculum for students with special needs. The teachers thanked the Birthright faculty for sharing their knowledge as they really had no experience in teaching children with disabilities. Their principal cried and thanked the speakers as shed was touched by what they shared. The Barangay Deped Supervisor also stayed the whole day during the workshop and said he learned so much from what the Birthright teachers shared. The evaluation of the workshop showed that is was highly valued and appreciateed by the teachers.

THE BIRTHRIGHT "CHRISTMAS FAMILY CONVENTION" (CFC)

To encourage interaction between and within families of children with disabilites, every year, except during the pandemic years lockdown, Birthright held a Christmas Family Convention where parents play games with their children with disabilities in Birthright. They partner in competitive games, cheer for each other and participate in a competitive Zumba with lovely hand made costumes. A total of 170 supportive people from 73 families participated in the parade, parlour games, and competitive Zumba. Everyone went home joyful from participating in the fun games.

COOKING DRIED VEGETABLES FROM ONTARIO CHRISTIAN GLEANERS

Teacher Miriam del Rosario taight mothers from Southside and mothers of children with diabilities in Birthright how to cook dried vegetables from Canada. They were then given packages of the dried vegetables for better nutrition of their children. 15 mothers and 4 fathers benefitted from the cooking sessions.
