THE BIRTHRIGHT COMMUNITY AT SOUTHSIDE

Mothers at Southside gather every Monday to study about their role as mothers to their children. Mrs. Raquel Domingo, a retired public school principal (Education Coordinator)  has volunteered to teach the women their responsibilities and accountabilities as mothers. The women gather in different member's house every week.

KAAGAPAY aims to bring women and mothers together in Southside to be godly, empowered and responsible mothers, without vices and concerned for their children and environment.

Goals:
1. To create a neighborhood friendship group that encourage women to share their burden in family life with each other and find solutions together.

2. To empower women and mothers through value formation meetings, enabling seminars on their rights and privileges, and family planning.

3. To encourage mothers to support their children’s education and work for their own economic freedom.

4. To bond women together to care for their neighborhood children and women who are abused and neglected.

5. To spark environmental consciousness among women to encourage families to care for their environment through gardening, cleaning and planting trees.

6. To encourage women to bond together to form livelihood opportunities and cooperatives  for their own families’ welfare.

7. To encourage women to fight unlawful vices  in the community like gambling and drugs.
